Juicy, aromatic whites
This category offers numerous wines. The character could be juicier or more aromatic or both, depending mostly on the grape variety but also on the winemaking technique. For example, Sauvignon Blanc is basically aromatic, while Chardonnay is more natural but becomes juicy if the grape is well ripened.
Vinified at low temperatures to bring out their fruitiness, matured in stainless steel vats or in the bottle to maintain the wine's freshness. These wines don't have any influence from the use of the barrel.
Colour ranges from pale lemon to golden yellow. The wine profile of this group is: vibrant, due to the delicate citrusy acidity; exuberant, thanks to the high intensity of aromas and/or flavours; and with a good length, due to the body and minerality.
