“Like soil, like wines”, Barbaro means Barbaric. It takes its name from the word used to describe the soil where the vineyard grows “barbaro”.

Variety: Merlot in prevalence with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Raboso Piave and Carménère. Aged for 24 months in little oak barrels. Serving temperature 18-20°C.

Dark ruby colour with garnet hint on the rim. Hearty, super-ripe flavours of prune, blackberry and cherry jam, make this a robust wine rounded by a nice bouquet of aromatic herbs. Slightly coarse tannins, balanced by a full body.

Food pairing: salty and sapid dishes, grilled meat, beef steak, game, hard cheeses.

Vegetarian: rich soups with cereals, vegetable stews with legumes.
